At the end of the year all of the year eights have a graduation. One of the things we do there is we all have to dance with one of our parents doing the waltz the girls will dance with their dads and the boys will dance with there mums. All the year eights have three practices a week. Here is a photo of me and my friend practising the waltz dance. We all have a great time practising and are really excited for the graduation.

Last term the prefects went to wellington for a day. The first picture is when we got to the airport early in the morning ready for the day ahead of us. After our flight we went to have some morning tea at a park and then went to Capital E and filmed a video. We dressed up in many different costumes and had scripts that we followed. I was one of the presenters as you can see in the second picture. We all really enjoyed it and loved making the video. We went to Parliament and got a tour of the beehive while also meeting Matt Doocey. Another great      activity we did was riding the cable car. Overall we all had a amazing trip and loved all the awesome activities we did.

This is a picture from last term when the prefects stayed overnight at the Te Koru centre in Papanui. This game was a game where someone is blindfolded in the middle and anyone that gets tagged with the noodle has to go out of the rope circle. If anyone ran out of the circle while being chased they were out. It was a really fun game and we all really enjoyed it. We learnt about the 7 habits of a highly effective teen and played lots of fun games. We also did different experiments to do with a habit. It was a great experience and at the end we all had to write a small speech. The next month we all went to the Papanui council and presented a speech on why that course has helped us and to thank them for donating some money to help us go on the course.

In my reading group the book we are reading is called Cool Nukes. It is a mysterious interesting book that I have really enjoyed reading. Every week we get a set of questions to answer about the book and I also chose the activity to design a new book cover page on google draw and this is what I created. This story is about a young group of students that were taught by their professor. Until one day their professor mysteriously disappeared but left a few clues for each of them to invent a device. Can they invent the device in time for their school science fair.

This term we had a opportunity to sign up for girls rugby. I am in the A netball team and so are a few     others we also got to join in with them for practices.We have learnt about the 4 f's in rugby and how to      tackle correctly. We have also learnt how to fall safely and different drills and practices. It has been really fun learning it all.

In term 2 all of the ten prefects held a sausage sizzle outside the Belfast warehouse to help raise money for our trip to Wellington in September. We all had different times of the day and were all with a buddy and some adults.We raised lots of money. We also had such a fun time selling the sausages and making them. At the moment we are preparing for Wellington. We get to visit Parliament and Te papa. We also get the chance to ride the cable and film a video at capital E. We have got all our roles for the video and cant wait to go.
